The number of Israeli tourists to Thailand will reach 185,000 in
2017. But what do we really know about the Thai identity? What
is behind the charming smile, the unique celebration of flavors,
and the spectacular views?
The Tourism Authority of Thailand in Israel invites the audience to study the Thai culture and identity, far beyond the mass-tourism sites. We are proud to present a chapter from the documentary film SONGS OF RICE, produced by Pimpaka Towira and directed by Uruphong Raksasad. We are also proud to share the results of our photo contest AMAZING FACES OF THAILAND portraying the way we understand Thai identity. These images are shown side by side with handmade tribal artworks.
