Over the past decade, photography has become accessible and easy thanks to smartphones. Using our phones, we memorialize moments, atmospheres, and points in time.
The photos in this exhibit were created using a mobile phone.
The subjects chosen for these photos are objects that are on the margins, on sidetracks, things that have seemingly lost their dignity. The images place them on the center of the stage, and thus the local becomes universal, the banal becomes special, the marginal becomes central, the anti-hero becomes a hero, and the inanimate becomes alive.
