NEW VISEGRAD PHOTOGRAPHY

Presenting Recent Photography Graduates from Visegrad Countries:

The New Visegrad Photography exhibition is a unique initiative, presenting a selection of works by an outstanding group of recent photography graduates from art universities in the Visegrad (V4) region: The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. This exhibition is exceptional as the coming decades will see these artists shape the art world of the V4 Group, and their work will present Central Europe’s visual perspective to the international public.

The New Visegrad Photography exhibition attempts to place the works of young photographers in a context that, while incorporating each country’s national characteristics and different educational approaches, as well as each artist’s independent universe, works together to visualize the defining traits of the Central European mentality and its perspective on global phenomena and trends.

Having already toured numerous international locations, the New Visegrad Photography program is a unique brand in the photography world. On the occasion of the Hungarian V4 Presidency in 2021-2022, a site-specific outdoor selection from the program is presented at the PHOTO IS:RAEL International Photography Festival. New Visegrad Photography is organized by EDGE Communications, an art agency known for initiating and managing a number of internationally-recognized photography programs.
