Raheli Dvorkin | The Black mountain

I have been shooting pictures for many years in Mitzpeh Ramon, where I grew up. In my work, I connect between nature and the desert around Mitzpeh Ramon and Moshav Ora, where I live. I found the connection when I took a picture on my cell phone during a renovation that we did recently at home. After the tiles and furniture were removed and the foundations were exposed, I saw the sand, and I remembered the desert and the past and “I brought” the crater, the mountains, and the water pools where I spent time during my childhood – into my home.
