Dialogue between the body and space
Shunit Flako-Zaritsky captures self-portraits where her body, in its static motion, tries to overcome the emptiness that surrounds it – as if it had a memory that it is trying to live and revive. The futile attempts, and the gap between the body’s longing to move, and the environment that freezes it, create a seductive tension: an attraction to an unattainable goal that is doomed to a glorious failure, mesmerizing in its beauty.
The depth photography is in collaboration with the photographer Edo Bar-Shay.
