While Tzipora David photographs portraits of young members of one kibbutz community in the Jezreel Valley, Aliza Auerbach photographs the founders’ generation in various kibbutzim and moshavim in their golden years. Like David and Auerbach Luise Schröder also grew up in a European culture and offers a contemporary “outsider’s” perspective on the story of a generation. Thus, the exhibition presents the viewers with a visual time capsule of the Labour Settlements Movement and the history of local photography from a woman’s perspective.
