The Meitar Award, a collaboration between PHOTO IS:RAEL and the Zvi and Ofra Meitar Family Fund, is awarded for the third time this year for a body of work which demonstrates originality and excellence in the field of photography. The award winner will be announced during the festival and will receive a $14,000 grant for the purpose of presenting a solo exhibition at the 2020cphotography festival.
A jury of leading professionals from all over the world has reviewed the submissions anonymously. This year, the exhibition features works by 20 finalists chosen by the jury from close to 600 submissions from 47 countries.
We will Host Marc Ohrem-Leclef, winner of the 2018 Meitar Award for Excellence in Photography, in conversation with David Adika, photographer and Head of the Photography Department at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem.
In the presence of Dafna Meitar-Nechmad, representative of the Zvi and Ofra Meitar Family Fund.
