Gillian Laub will present the projects she has worked on for the past 20 years, focusing primarily on the power of visual storytelling to promote social change. She will lead the audience through major bodies of work including Southern Rites, a multi platform project – including a feature documentary film, book, and exhibition – in which Laub’s photography directly led to the end of racially segregated proms in the American South. Laub will present behind-the-scenes testimonies and stories that have inspired her throughout her career to create images in the service of change.
