Ioanna Sakellaraki – esteemed contributor to Fresh Eyes 2020
Erik Vroons, will elaborate on two of the platform’s talent programmes: GUP New and Fresh Eyes. GUP, an independent international magazine based in Amsterdam since 2005, celebrates its 15th anniversary this November. GUP is known for staging the photographic work of emerging artists from all over the world.
GUP New is an annual catalogue launched in 2012 to promote 100 emerging photographers based in The Netherlands – recently graduated and self-taught talents. In 2019, Ana Zibelnik was selected as GUP New Photographer of the Year. She will present her ongoing project We Are The Ones Turning.
Fresh Eyes is an additional book that GUP publishes since 2019, showcasing 100 promising European photographers. Ioanna Sakellaraki from Greece is going to talk about her successful body of work, The Truth Is In The Soil.
